Our Story

“Not to us, O LORD, not to us but to your name be the glory,
because of your love and faithfulness.”
— Psalm 115:1

In 50 years the Evangelical Free Church of Lethbridge has grown from a handful of devoted Christ-followers meeting at Lakeview school to the diverse and influential group of growing disciples we are today. The dream God planted in the hearts of our founders has been far exceeded as His faithfulness and favour have rolled wave upon wave of godly, visionary men and women to carry on building His church.

Our church has been marked by a commitment to God’s word, to prayer, to unity on the essential issues, and to grace extended to those with differing opinions on the non-essentials.

We are deeply committed to ministry around the world, equipping missionaries in their calling, and serving the weak and poor.

We are passionate about reaching the next generation for Christ, raising up leaders who will boldly stand for truth and proclaim the good news.

We are growing disciples of Christ—
… growing in love for God,
… in love for one another,
… and in serving the world.
